The European Union’s apical enforcement assemblage has confirmed a cyberattack aft hackers reportedly stole reams of information from its unreality storage.
European Commission spokesperson Nika Blazevic confirmed to TechCrunch connected Friday that the Commission “discovered a cyber-attack, which affected portion of our unreality infrastructure.”
“We person taken contiguous steps and contained the attack. Risk mitigation measures were besides implemented. The probe is ongoing but we tin already corroborate that the Commission’s interior systems were not affected by the cyber-attack,” the spokesperson said.
In a longer connection connected its website, the Commission said the breach “affected its unreality infrastructure hosting the Commission’s web beingness connected the Europa.eu platform,” which hosts overmuch of the Commission’s website data.
