The U.K.’s National Crime Agency (NCA) said connected Wednesday that a antheral was arrested successful transportation to the ransomware onslaught that has caused delays and disruptions astatine respective European airports since the weekend.  

The hack targeted check-in systems provided by Collins Aerospace connected Friday, causing delays astatine Brussels, Berlin, Dublin, and London’s Heathrow airport, which lasted until yesterday.  

While the NCA did not sanction the man, it said helium is “in his forties” and that helium was arrested successful the confederate region of West Sussex connected Tuesday. The antheral has been released connected conditional bail, the bureau said.

“Although this apprehension is simply a affirmative step, the probe into this incidental is successful its aboriginal stages and remains ongoing,” said Paul Foster, lawman manager and caput of the NCA’s National Cyber Crime Unit.
